Calm & Storm, the Night Horde SoCal’s last ride, is LIVE

A paperback version is coming soon, too.

Normally, on release day, Susan has a teaser prepared for her next book, but as Calm & Storm is the last Night Horde SoCal book, and she has no plans to release another book in 2015, we don’t have a teaser to share today.

Instead, we’ll let you know what’s on the horizon, at least as far as we can see at this point.

First, to answer the question that gets asked most often: Yes, Nolan will get a book. It will be a standalone inasmuch as it won’t be part of any series, but it will be strongly informed by both series he’s been part of. We haven’t written it yet, but we anticipate that it will be released about the middle of 2016.

In the meantime, we have a first draft done of what will be the first book in a short historical romance series, set in a Viking world. Oh, LORDY, was that fun to write! We’re planning to release that in January.

And fans of the Pagano Family series might be interested to know that we’re currently writing John’s story and planning a spring release for that. I expect to make Susan write Joey’s story, too, and close out the Pagano series in 2016.

So Susan is still writing, and I’m still torturing her when she doesn’t. We likely won’t be releasing every six weeks any longer, simply because that pace is wearing me out as much as her, but we won’t make you wait overlong.

Enjoy Calm & Storm. I had big fun with that one.

Cover reveal, synopsis, and preorder: Calm & Storm, The Night Horde SoCal Book 6

C&S cover 3

Hi all!

I’ve uploaded Calm & Storm for preorder to Amazon and Smashwords. It should be live soon, and I’ll update this post with links when it is. In the meantime, here’s the synopsis. To whet your appetite, you can find Chapter One here.

And I’ve set up the Goodreads page.

Barnes & Noble

The release date for Calm & Storm is Tuesday, 27 October 2015. Why a Tuesday, when I’ve traditionally released my books on Saturday? Because on 27 October 2013, I published Move the Sun. Calm & Storm will come out on the second anniversary of my adventures in indie publishing–and of the Night Horde itself. It seemed fitting to end the second Night Horde series on the anniversary of the date the club began. I like the symmetry.

The fantastic women at The Literary Gossip are doing a Night Horde anniversary/Calm & Storm release day party on the 27th. I’ll be bopping about over at their Author Lounge during the day. Follow their FB page for more information.

Okay, I think I promised you the synopsis. Here ya go:

Ronin Drago has always been a fighter, a warrior, a soldier. Not one to take the lead or the limelight, he stands stalwart with his brothers, but he keeps his own counsel.

The Night Horde SoCal has been taking too many hits lately, and he fears that they are cracking under the strain. Every run seems to bring more chaos and less clarity, and Ronin no longer sees the purpose in their fight. But he is a loyal man, and long ago the club gave him a family when he had no other, when he came home from war to an empty life that had once been full of love and promise.

Lorraine Milligan loved the young man that Ronin had been in that long ago time, and she loves him still. But she broke his heart and left his life empty. She’s regretted it ever since, but she never thought to have the chance to make amends.

In the years since she ran from their young love, she has made a good life, successful and content, but shadowed by her regret, her Great Lost Love.

When their paths cross unexpectedly and the old spark between them rekindles, they have a chance to remake a future together. But first Ronin must come to terms with the full dimension of what he lost when Lorraine left him.

And then they both must decide if his club and their love can fit together at all.

**This volume also includes Home & Safe, the epilogue novella to the Night Horde SoCal series.

Note: explicit sex and violence.
